How does having unequal sample sizes effect my statistical conclusions?

I have 2 groups, one who received treatment and a control group. About 12 variables were measured in each group. The Treatment group has about 65 subjects, the control group only has 25-30. Is it better (statisticaly speaking) to have the groups as is (65:30) or should I take a random sub-sample of the Treatment group and make it even (30:30)? Seems to me like more=better, but I'm not sure if that is true or not.....

Last night my husband saw a field mouse come in through our gas fireplace. This evening I SWEAR I saw it run behind the toy box. I HAVE to get them out of the house! Amazing things can happen if you are devoted and it means a lot to you. There is no reason you can't learn it, but of course its no small task. My biggest advice is just take your time, and relax while trying to learn, even if it feels like you are running out of time! If you rush and don't take your time, and try to cover too much material too fast itll just become a big blur. You'd rather get 80% of the material 100% down than 100% of the material 50% down!

The premium will be very high if you want vehicles coverage, It may be best to only buy liability coverage and risk the vehicle damage yourself, Traveling in Mexico can be hazardous. I would carry pport, license and not to much cash. Also driving time in Mexico is much longer than you expect.

That is a VERY big electric bill for a house on the small side. Something is eating up electricty and the only way to find out is to test. Anything you have that heats up is going to eat electricity big time....curling irons, hair dryers, electric blankets, space heaters, heading pads....if you use those regularly, that will explain the electric being so high. If not, try this....uming you have access to your electric meter.....unplug everything unnecessary in your home.....washer and dryer, microwave, coffeepot, cellphone chargers, lamps, tvs, computer, all of it, basically everything but your fridge. Then plug them back in one by one, and check your meter after each plug in. When the meter really starts to move, you have found your electric hog. It could be something as simple as a sump pump that never shuts off, hard to say without testing it as explained above. Good luck!

How do i help my developmentally delayed toddler to catch up to his/her peers?

my daughter is 32 months old she has been diagnosed with a rare disorder and has developmental delay she is a little slow for her age although her understanding of things is great she just cant apply these things developmentally and i wnat to do all i can to help her catch up to help her learn things she doesnt have a very good attention span like she cant focus on one task for very long and she isnt really in to having books read to her or flash cards but i would like her to overcome her delay and i wnat her to learn age apropriete things she can not run yet or jump yet (i dont know how to teach her these things) but basically i want her to learn things like abc's colours shapes days of week how to dress herself and potty training...i want to help her learn normally and develop normally so she can grow out of her delay...i am confident with the right method of teaching (or her preferred method) that she can outgrow her delay does any one have any tips on how they have tought there delayed child and what has worked for them im willing to try anything.

I am a self diagnosed hypocondriact, i smoked for 9 months and have quit now I have developed chronic bronchitis, however this has caused much concern as soon as I got bronchitis I also got a painful lump under my armpit, ive often felt pain like this before in the past but only now is it scaring me. Is it possible the lymph node in my armpit is just inflamed due to the bronchitis infection or is it possible I have cancer? I go to the doctors on monday but atm i just feel like im falling about and the stress will kill me before the bronchitis/cancer... im only 17, what do u think of the sudden like out of the blue painful lump in my armpit?

Can I still work out even with a slight sore throat and sore chest?

I have a slight sore throat and my chest feels alittle sore inside as well. I don't feel congested tho, nor am I coughing, but I constantly spit out alittle mucus that seems to build in my throat. The thing is, I'm on a diet and so far I lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks and I don't want to stop the diet until I've lost an additional 10 lbs. I've been on this diet shake that has helped me throughout this diet and I've been working out (jogging, stairclimbing, light weight lifting, etc.) as well. my dream is to become an actor, yes ive asked this question before but this time i really need help. i want to act on the big screen but i am 18 and i live in maine. because for research, every celebrity i read about, they started acting when they were a kid, or took acting lessons when they were a kid, or they never learned acting but lived in a major city so they kept auditoning and finally got a role. oits hard to watch movies now because whenever i watch it, i know that couldve been me but i have no oppurnities to show myself and its just hard to watch. all i want to know is if there are any acting schools, acting coashes or even camps, anything that can help me act, but i dont know of any in maine. i would love to go a major city but i cant auditon without expereince,so please, can someone send me a link on if theres any acting school, lessons etc. in maine or what to do in order to auditon in a mjor city like how i can get experience if i live in maine. pelase, this is all i ask4

Why are Asians obsessed with knowing other Asian people's ethnicities for no particular reason?

There are many thoughts on this one. Many Asians are racist to other Asians, so they might want to know what type of ethnicity you are so they can feel better about themselves. Also, it's a marriage thing. If an Asian is interested in you, they will ask you what ethnicity you are to see if you and that Asian will match together. Most of the time, though, it's just for competition. For example, a Korean and a Korean will fight to the death to get everything than the other. And, for example, Koreans are usually full of it and will think they are better than you if you aren't Korean. It's not a fact- it's just an example since that's what my Korean friends tell me. All in all, I don't think they are 'trying' to be obviously racist, it's probably a bad habit brought down from their parents since I know Asian parents ask that a lot. Hope this helps, and I wasn't trying to be racist in any way.

Major Clinical Depression - any new meds or help out there?

I was diagnosed with major clinical dep. a few yrs. ago and have tried numerous medications. It started out as just major fatigue and the doctors I have seen all jumped straight to depression as the cause and put me on different meds (I have tried at least 8-10 meds) nothing has helped so far. I have also been in counseling with the meds. The only thing that seems to help the fatigue and depressed mood is Ultram (I know this is just supposed to be for pain and I haven't been taking it for the right reason but for some reason it helps) - I have been taking way too much of it for a long time because I don't know what else to do. I am so tired of going to different docs and they all just guess at what meds to put me on - I was on Provigil for the fatigue for about 6 mnths (it was great) then it stopped working. I am trying to get my kids back (taken by the state of TN for "neglect" although there was NO neglect - long story), keep my job and home, and keep my marriage together. Pls help!

Should I get my daughters "teachers" a Christmas gift? If so, what?

My 2 year old goes to a mother's morning out program two times a week for 3 hours. She has only been going for 2 months now. I noticed on Wednesday that some of the other kids and moms had brought in gifts, but not all of them did. After cl, they gave my little girl a Christmas card and an ornament for our tree. The last day before Christmas break is tomorrow. Should I get them a gift? If so, what should I get? We haven't been going for long so I didn't even think about it for my Christmas shopping.

All these exercises are designed to safely stretch the spine and strengthen the surrounding muscles. If you persist with this regime for a number of months it will help you gain height in conjunction with your normal growth process which still has some time to go; maybe up until your early twenties. Your diet should be protein rich with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.

New hat, got wet, smells TERRIBLE?

I bought my finance new hat from lids. It's a zephyr fitted hat- ND if it matters... He wore it once! It got damp from the rain and smells so horrid that we can not even keep it in the room! It smells like a combo of rotten fish and feces! He didn't sweat in it and he showered before he wore it! I plan on taking it back but just in case they don't replace it, I need to know how to remove the smell. Obviously getting it wet will make it worse- that's what started the smell in the first place. When should adopt a new cat?

My parents just lost the family cat of 16 years. Although she wasn't keen on others being at the house, she was a big part of the family. This past year, she became especially loving to my mother. My parents are saddened by their loss, have a 4 year old chocolate lab, but knowing how keen they were on cats, I'm not sure exactly how to bring into conversation of adopting a new cat. I'll try to make this as short as possible. A girl I like was going out with this other guy. I thought he was alright until i heard that he was cheating on her. 98 plymouth neon making clicking noises/not starting?

What would you do in this situation (family feud/wedding)?

Sorry, this is a long one. I am the middle sister of three and my older sis and I are supposed to be bridesmaids for my little sister's wedding next week. My older sis is ten years older than me and my other sis is three years younger than me. My older sis has very deep-rooted issues with me personally as when I was in 14, her husband at the time (who she is still on good terms with) tried to make me do something inappropriate and this contributed to the breakdown of her marriage. Earlier this year, a guy was following me around like a puppy on a night out and she let rip at me for being too weak to tell him where to go before telling my little sis that I had once had a clinch with her fiance (later proved to be completely untrue). I was forced into a reconciliation for the sake of little sis's wedding and since then, we have got on well. However, last weekend, it was my little sis's hen weekend. We had a brilliant time but on the last night, my older sis started ignoring me on the way back to where we were staying, packed her bags at 3am and went home, leaving us to clear up the whole apartment ourselves before checking out the next day. I am still completely stunned and very angry that she did this and just abandoned us so unexpectedly, but my dilemma is that my mum and little sis are forcing me to make things up with her and be amicable for the sake of the wedding. They told me that my older sis was desperately sorry, so I started to hear her out on the phone last night, but she just said "Sorry for what happened over the weekend but I do still have issues with you. Their does seem to be some truth in what you say. My 2 sons visited europe this summer and they both came back saying, this is better that is better, etc. etc. But, i also beleieve that its not always a fair comparison, that its sometimes comparing apples and oranges. My husbands sister married my brother, she had three kids prior to their marriage and now they are divorcing.?

Ok, that is the main point. Now here is the info, when they started dating she was pregnant and her twins were 2. Now they are almost 4 and the baby is 2. They have been married for a year now. The girls realy dad is not around nor wants to be nor would he be able to be. So my brother is not legally their dad but has always been their dad, the only dad they have ever known. Since about 2 months after they had gotten married things started to change. My SIL became very emotionally and mentally abusive to my brother which is something we never saw coming. It was really bad and the only thing that kept them together as long as they have been was that they worked opposite shifts and he couldn't bear to leave the girls, nor do i believe that she can care for the girls on her own, due to a family history on her side i believe their may be some pshycosis that she needs to take care of however she refuses to allow that theory. Ok, so for the millionth time she told him she wanted a divorce. This time she was really serious but decided she wanted them to stay living in the same house, of course without him she couldn't live financially or have freedom from her children. So, this time he finally decided he had had enough, packed everything into a uhaul and left. A week has gone by and although he is still crushed he is rememebering what its like to be somewhere that he is wanted and loved (hes with my parents). So now he refuses to even speak to her, and she is suddenly in a panic. She calls him all the time, has no where to go, loves him and doesn't want this. She is finally starting to realize she may need help (so she tells me) the problem is that i don't think he will go back to her. Her family is states away and she has shut them out of her life, of course they would be more than happy to bring her to where they are and help her and her children but i don't think she will go for it. For now she is going to stay with me, but our house is small and there isn't room for the four of them to stay forever. I feel very badly because i want her to get better and i want them to be together even though i have felt so badly towards her in the past, i don't know why i feel this way after everything she put my brother through. I am mad at my brother because even though those girls aren't actually his, he took responsibilty for them over a year ago and he should have had it in his ind that one day this may happen and he should have planned for it, even if they had had a wonderful marriage, he still should have planned. BOTH of them made the decision to be a family to the girls, not just my sister in law. everyone says it's not his responsibility to care for the girls but he just shouldn't have taken it on if he couldn't carry the load through thick and thin. Like i said i don't blame him for finally leaving, his mental health is suffering dearly because of her.I have known for a long time that he needed to get out because the things she did to him were awful and he just sat back and let her do it. Tenants swapted an old boiler for the good one in the house?

Ok i have a bit of a situation. My fathers tenants were complaining that their boiler was leaking so my dad went to fix it and he realized that it wasn't the boiler that used to be there (that was practically brand new). We have video AND pictures of the the original boiler from when we were trying to rent the house out. We're a bit dumbfounded that they thought they could get away with it and now we don't know what to do next. These tenants are supposed to leave at the end of next month and my dad thinks the boiler is hidden in the garage. What do we do. We know for a fact its not the same boiler.

How can someone say there is NO proof that Jesus existed?

I wrote about this last night and got ignorant hate mail. Okay, there's a recent theory going around that Jesus never existed at all....but this is old news to the scholarly and historical community. Yes, there are paralells to Jesus's story with pagan figures, such as Mithra, Zoroaster, Krishna, Osiris, Dyonisis, and even Saddhartha Gatauma...and traditions borrowed from them. Now there is less evidence that Zoroaster, Saddhartha Gatauma, and Krishna existed, due to thier materials being written centuries after thier deaths, but some like to accepth thier existence on a silver platter. This only proves that the pagan myths perhaps enhanced his divinity. Now...Proof...Lets simply start with the gospels and the letters of the New Testament. They are ALL first century or at latest second century doents....and the New Testament apocrypha is twice as large as the Old Testament. First through third century gnostic texts are found outside of the bible. Many historians such as Eusebius, Josephus, Tacitus, An, Tertullian, CLement, the list goes on. Now they will tell you that Josephus's writings were scribbled in, by the church, because it's only like a paragraph mention of a "very infuential man." It wasn't that necessary. Jesus was just acommon criminal executed by the Jews and Romans of that century. His disciples were still in the works of influencing OUTSIDE of Israel, while Joshephus's main intention was to give a historical account of the Old Testament....and the Romans and Jewish doents confirm the existence of Herod the Great, with the attitude towards other figures that opposed the belief of his divinity. ...the existence of Pontius Pilate, and first century doents of the Coptic Sect in Egypt clarifying Jesus's existence. THe official scholarly dating by historians are around 4/5 BC, so the Gregorian calendar we use today, is fairly accurate to the time of his life. We have accounts of all his disciples lives from Apocryphal works from the 1rst through 3rd century....if you think this is not proof, you're delusional. Caesar never officially wrote about himself, and it was the disciples of previous figures that wrote about thier ethical teachers centuries later. Hell in that case, Muhamaad was illiterate, so the only reliable source we have of him is what others wrote about him. This is as lame as conspiracy theorists who say the pyramids and Stonehenge were constructed by aliens, 9/11 was done by the government, or we never even landed on the moon. People there is more proof of Jesus's existence than most people in history. We have centuries of it dating from the century he lived in. Yes, pagan myths could have enhanced his divinity, but to say he never existed or that there is NO proof shows intellecual laziness, and lack of knowledge concerning history...so please come out of your fantasy box.

Braces painful?

Everytime I went to get mine tightened I always took motrin an hour before my appointment and for the next 2-3 days. Sounds childish but I used to take liquid motrin cause it works faster. It is a different pain than when you get your teeth pulled, its kinda like a dull achy pain that is there constantly. After a couple days though it goes away. Get some soft foods like soup and jello and stuff until you get used to them. Oh and dont bite into sandwiches cause the bread will get stuck in your braces....also it hurts to bite directly into something...I used to cut up everything and fork it. I was awarded a $1200 + $22 court cost judgment by default about 2 months ago. The man has refused to repay me by amicable means. Sounds like you have had a few visits from friend's that have departed this Earth through your dreams. When the deceased visit us through our dreams they behave and act like they did while alive and integrated with us in our lives, simple mundane things, for instance homework etc . My favorite out of all of those would have to be the first one, in black. I think it is really stylish in the purple too but for what you're looking for I would definitely go with black. God does not hate gay people, God does not hate anybody. In fact, it is the exact opposite. This verse makes it clear that nothing can separate us from his love. God could not have given a greater sacrifice then his only son to show us exactly how much he loved us. But don't mistake what i am saying, God is loving, but he is also just. It hurts him to have to send unforgiven souls to hell, but he is true to his word. As you stated you are already familiar to the verse in leviticus which refers the act of lying with a man as one lies with a woman "detestable" Now take a look at 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 it says "Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? This verse is telling you right off the bat that no ually immoral ( in this case) can inherit Gods kingdom. If you look around the end of the verse it says "......that is what some of you WERE. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God" This verse says that is what you WERE, past tense. It means if you are saved, that is not what you are. it is of the past. As i stated earlier, God does love everybody (john 3:16) if you continue from John 3:16 to John 3:17-18 it says "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son." God is saying if you don't believe in Jesus you are condemned. Believing in Jesus is more then believing in his existence but believing in his word, his promise. His promise is that no ual can get into heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). It is in his word, if you don't believe his word, then you don't believe him, and you are condemned. So yes God does love everybody, but don't mistake his kindness for weakness, he is also just. So unless the repents and turns from their ways they cannot go to heaven. To sum up my thesis, God doesn't hate uality, but he hates the act of ity, and will punish those who practice it.

What amount of calories should I consume?

Im 5ft 6 inches, female and weigh 8 & 1/2 stone. I currently work out 3 nights per week normally varing from kickboxing, aerobics or the gym. The problem is im unsure how many calories I should consume in a day in order to keep my weight around this. If anyone knows the answer I would greatly appreciate it!!
