How is Glenn Beck appealing to Conservative Atheists?

I watched his rally at CSPAN, I'm a Conservative Atheist, and I was offended by all the mentions of Jesus (not so much God). But it felt like I was at an Evangelical Congregation. I'm confused what he is trying to do and who he is trying to appeal to.
