Why do conservatives who live in small towns claim multiculturalism has failed when cities like New York...?

manage just fine. Same with other large cities all over the world. In fact Melbourne, Australia has a very diverse community ranging from Lebanese to Chinese, Greek to Italian etc and is ranked one of the best and most liveable cities in the world. So why do these conservatives from small country towns with a huge white demographic makes these ridiculous claims?
