Why was Bush ever elected...?

I know that Gore is kinda creepy, and Kerry wasn't that good of a choice either, but come on....George W. Bush? Why would anyone, much less the majority of the country think that this obviously retarted man could be the best choice to lead our nation? In his first four years he didn't do anything, except for start a war that didn't need to be started. And then, as if doing that wasn't enough, our nations voters decided that it would be a good idea to let Bush solidify his place as one of America's worst presidents. Now Barrack has to deal with what this man and his ociates (yes, i mean Cheney [who is a , by the way]) have done: nearly destroy the American youths chance of survival...sorry if I have offended anyone, but if you are a Bush supporter, maybe you deserve it
