Would it be worth it to upgrade my sound system in my Silverado?

Dude, car audio comes and goes. It's not worth to do it. You can buy some good stuff off craigslist for a cheaper price. Sony Xplod is cheap quality stuff. If I were you, i would go with Kicker, Alpine, Pioneer, or Bazooka.
