Can a dry cleaner get pen marks out of suede?

my husband has a suede jacket (really nice and new bomber jacket!!!) and he got two pen marks on it. THEN he tried to scrub them off with a sponge and now the jacket has hardened spots where he scrubbed it! AAARG! men! if I took this to the dry cleaners, could they fix it? maybe there's a home fix that wouldnt ruin it?
