Does anyone out there believe in the old saying "if you love sum1 let em go,if they come back its true love?"?

If a guy really truly loves you and you let them go because things are going haywire in both of your lives and it doesnt seem to be the right time for you to be together...isnt it just better to let them go rather than to suffer heartache every other day?
